❓ FoxChat Frequently Asked Questions & Troubleshooting Guide
1. Not receiving background notifications on mobile
- Please try the following steps: Navigate to Me > Settings > Messages & Notifications within FoxChat. Enable all three options listed. Additionally, please tap on Auto-start Management and Battery Optimization to grant the necessary permissions.
2. Deposit not received
- First, verify that the mainnet is correct. If the MPC wallet does not display the mainnet where your assets are stored, you can add it manually: Enter the MPC Wallet, tap the mainnet icon in the top right corner, select Add Network, and choose Custom Network. You can find the corresponding mainnet information via https://chainlist.org/ and fill in the required details. Once added, return to the corresponding mainnet interface, tap the + sign in the top right corner of the Assets page, and input the relevant token contract address.
3. Questions regarding third-party protocols and related assets
- For issues encountered while using any third-party protocol ecosystem, please consult the customer service of the relevant protocol.
4. Logging into/Importing other wallets (TP/BG/OKX, etc.) to FoxChat MPC Wallet
- The FoxChat MPC Wallet currently does not support importing third-party wallets.
5. Unable to open DApps or execute transactions in FoxChat
- Some DApp nodes are overseas nodes. Third-party protocols such as PancakeSwap, Uniswap, APDAO, AAVE, 1inch, GMX, usually require a VPN accelerator to function properly.
6. Unable to log in to third-party protocol webpages on FoxChat DApp
- For issues regarding third-party protocol account binding, please consult the customer service of the relevant third-party protocol.
7. FoxChat Download Links
- For Android, download at fchat.vip. For iOS, search for "FoxChat" in the App Store; if you cannot find it, you will need to register an Apple ID for a region where FoxChat is supported.
8. Where to trade and swap on FoxChat
- You can trade using the swap feature provided by the MPC wallet. Please verify the exchange amount and price carefully before swapping; once a swap is executed, the transaction cannot be reversed. If a third-party protocol's official website offers a swap function, you can also trade directly on their site, such as PancakeSwap, Uniswap V3, APDAO, AAVE, 1inch, GMX, etc. (Note that some third-party protocols require a VPN accelerator).
9. Is there a PC version of FoxChat?
- A PC version has not yet been released. Please stay tuned for official announcements regarding future updates.
10. "My Balance" withdrawal not received
- Withdrawals from "My Balance" require on-chain review. The processing period is typically 1–3 business days.
11. Third-party protocol account in FoxChat DApp shows "Bound to another wallet"
- If the wallet is already bound, please contact the customer service of the third-party protocol for assistance.
12. How to remove excess MPC wallets
- Ensure that all your MPC wallets have been individually backed up. Log out of your social account and log back in. Click on the MPC wallet; previously created wallets will appear automatically. Simply check the specific wallet you wish to restore. Alternatively, inside the MPC Wallet, go to Settings > Wallet List and tap the eye icon to hide unwanted wallets.
13. Wallet transfer/withdrawal failure
- Check if your MPC wallet has sufficient funds for gas fees on the corresponding mainnet (Binance Smart Chain: BNB; Ethereum Mainnet: ETH; TRON Mainnet: TRX; X Layer: OKX).
- Check the node status indicator in the top right corner of the wallet page. It should be green. If it is red, please go to Settings > Node Settings and switch to a node with a green tag.
14. Why assets withdrawn from an exchange or other ecosystem to the MPC wallet have not arrived
- The MPC wallet functions solely as the recipient. If funds have not arrived, please contact the customer support of the sending platform for assistance.
15. MPC Wallet crashes or freezes upon opening
- This is typically caused by network issues. Please try the following: turn off your VPN or switch VPN regions, restart your phone, switch networks (e.g., toggle Wi-Fi or Airplane Mode on/off), and restart the network connection before retrying.
16. Why Android phones show a "Security Risk" warning when installing FoxChat
- It is normal for Android devices to display risk warnings for third-party software. Please disable "Pure Mode" or "Security Mode" to proceed with the installation. For a smoother experience, we suggest using a non-chinese-mainland version of an Android device (with built-in Google Framework).
17. How to use Google 2-Step Verification (2FA)
- Google 2FA uses dynamic passwords for multi-layer security. When making a transfer, enter your payment password first.
- Then, open the Google Authenticator app to retrieve the bound dynamic verification code. Enter this code before the countdown timer expires to complete the transfer verification.
18. How to change the Payment Password
- Go to Me > My Balance > Top Right Button > Payment Settings > Set Payment Password. You can modify it directly from there.
19. Why the wallet address is different after changing devices or reinstalling FoxChat
- Under normal circumstances?
- This issue should not occur. If your restored MPC wallet address differs from the previous one, you must first ensure that the previous wallet was successfully backed up and that you are using the correct email address.
- If you are unsure about the backup status, log back into your social account and enter the MPC wallet on your old device. The cached data will display the backup status. Perform a backup on the old device again, then restore the MPC wallet on the new device.
